WORKSHOP
Own Your Worth-Women, Wealth and the Path to Financial Independence
In 2018, UBS embarked on a groundbreaking study of US women. It started with the recognition of two major trends impacting women: increasing life expectancy and the rise of "gray" divorce meant that at some point in their lives, 8 out of 10 women will end up alone and solely responsible for their financial well-being.
Equal participation in financial decisions is seen as key to gender equality and women's financial security. Opting out of longer term financial decisions puts women at risk— liquidity risk, longevity risk and legacy risk. Recognizing the current landscape, we want to help empower you to learn how to take back your financial future now by becoming an active participant in financial decision making, while helping the next generation do the same as they navigate their finances.
In this session you will learn:
The keys to taking back your financial decisions with your spouses.
The "lingo" to participate in meetings with your financial advisor.
How to involve your children and adult children in financial decisions based on their ages.
